The Library of Congress began a pilot project in 2009 with Zepheira, LLC to develop a proof of concept that can be used to collect and explore information about digital collections. The result is a software platform called Recollection. Project Recollection was presented by Laura Campbell, Associate Librarian for Strategic Initiatives for The Library of Congress, and Eric Miller, President of Zepheira at the 13th European Conference on Digital Libraries held in Corfu, Greece September 27 – October 2, 2009. The project was awarded “Best Poster” for the conference. View the session poster and the award posted on the ECDL 2009 site.
The Library of Congress is collaborating with Zepheira to develop a pilot platform to allow communities of interest to interconnect their information.
